About Us
The Martial Arts Center is a small
business dedicated to teaching the ideals of loyalty, honor,
respect, trust, courage, and discipline through the study of
the martial arts. The Martial Arts Center offers a wide
range of courses designed to build the Body, Mind, and
Spirit of the martial arts student, whether they are new to
the study and practice of martial arts, or have been a
student for many years.
All students are
instructed in the basic martial arts skills that promote
confidence, a better self image, coordination, and respect
for themselves and others. The adult student’s courses
include a range of areas from primitive martial arts up to
modern combative and tactical arts. The Martial Arts Center
is designed as a place for students to train, learn and grow
as martial artists and individuals.
Cross Training Students
The Martial Arts Center gladly
accepts students from other styles or systems of martial
arts, to provide them an opportunity to cross train in our
curriculum. Students wishing to cross train should
understand that many schools do not allow students to cross
train in other martial arts systems or schools. Anyone
currently training in other styles may also train at our
school provided they have their original instructor's
permission. And while we greatly respect the rank you have
earned in your current art, due to the vast differences in
many styles of other martial arts, all cross training
students, regardless of rank, must begin as white belts and
go through our normal training phases just as any new
student would. Anyone interested in cross training should
contact The Martial Arts Center for scheduling, prices and
further information.
Instructor Training
The Martial Arts Center offers
specially designed courses which allow instructors from
other styles and systems to get certified training in joint
locking, grappling, Asian weapons, knife throwing, archery,
pressure points, tactical baton, and handcuffing techniques.
These skills can greatly increase the value of an
instructor to his students, since they provide a larger and
more diverse curriculum that a teacher may offer to his or
her students. These courses are conducted in several
different ways, such as one day work shops or scheduled
private lessons. Anyone interest in Instructor courses
should contact The Martial Arts Center for scheduling,
prices and further information.
Private Lessons
The Martial Arts Center offers
private lessons to anyone desiring a more personal or
private approach to their training. Private students also
have the option of specializing in a particular area of
training such as specific weapons or tactical training.
Private lessons may be conducted at our school location or
scheduled at a remote location such as a student's home or
office. Anyone interested in private lessons should contact
The Martial Arts Center for scheduling, prices and further
information.
Law Enforcement / Security Training
The Martial Arts Center offers
specialized training for Law Enforcement or Security
Agencies in tactical handcuffing, tactical baton, active /
passive suspect resistance, forcible takedown techniques,
edged weapons defense, and gun retention techniques.
Agencies can schedule one- or two-day workshops,
or reserve an instructor on a more permanent, scheduled
basis. Any agency interested in scheduling workshops should
contact The Martial Arts Center for scheduling, prices and
further information.
